Conducted among 17 cyclists. It asked them:

  • Are they interested to learn about bicycle maintenance?

  • How often do they perform maintenance work?

  • Where did they learn about fixing bicycles?

  • What is the level of their technical knowledge?

  • Do they perform maintenance at a bike shop or at home?

Survey

A maintenance and repair app made for beginners or experienced cyclists.
It tracks the longevity of the components and alerts when to replace them.
In addition, you can learn how to repair and fix problems on the go.

Overview

Who is it for

The app is for all types of cyclists: road, mountain
bike, commuters, beginners, experts, young and old.

There is no easy to use app that tracks your bicycle
components combined with technical solutions.

User Story

“It’s Saturday morning, In the mountain around Jerusalem. Me and my school gang got together for our bike ride. The weather is great, sunny but not too hot. We’ve packed up the coffee kit and, pass the half length marker and starting to head back. Suddenly, I heard something snap and my bike slowed down. Thankfully I managed to stay up and not crash. It Looks like one of the wheel spokes was torn. The bike is in no condition to go on with out a temporary fix. Since none of us knows how to deal with the malfunction, thankfully I got my smartphone and I can use it for some help.

I found an app called “Chain Check”, I’ll give it a try. Since I‘m outside and it’s getting hot I hope I can find what I need quick. It’s loading and I’m great to see that there is no need to register in order to open it. In the home page there is button that take you straight to the repair page. From there a category page with big thumbnails. it’s easy to find info with large thumbnails containing images. Selecting “Wheels” and a sub category page opens.
Here I can find short videos that will take me step by step how to fix my bike and return home.”
